Season 5 Preview - Dearly Departed

- The biggest name leaving us this offseason is obviously wide receiver Ryan Betesta who has been traded to the Yetis for CB Rhys Clennon. Betesta was the staple of this receiving team bringing in 222 catches for 2,920 yards and 25 touchdowns in the regular season alone. Betesta also had 44 catches in the palyoffs for 627.5 yards and 4 touchdowns. Betesta holds many records for receiving that may stand the test of time.

- Tight End BJ has left the team to go search other options and has gone to Europe to play for the Rotterdam Harbourmasters. BJ played the last two seasons in Blacksburg with 60 catches in season 3 for 506.5 yards and 4 touchdowns but only got 15 in season 4 with the addition of Dirk Illicious.

- Cornerback Mr McKelvin returned back to the Polynesian Swashbucklers. Mr McKelvin only recorded 2 interceptions but had one of them for a touchdown and forced a fumble.

- Free Safety Bill Clinton has left the team and flown to Europe to play for the Prague Monarchs. Clinton has been with the Ballers since season 1 and it was sad to see him go. Clinton recorded 1 interception while he was here with 3 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. Clinton also had 87 tackles and 12 pass deflections.

- Johnathan Evans was exchanged in a trade for the return of Lawrence Julius Taylor. Evans only played the one season in Blacksburg and recorded 2 interceptions and 15 pass deflections.

- Sev Sheppard finally got his starting role as he jumped down to the USA BBB #15 to join the Caprica Buccaneers. Sev Sheppard joined the Ballers in season 1 and played 53 regular season games with the Ballers and 8 playoff games recording a total of 170 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 23 pass deflections during his tenure here.
