ABBOTSFORD (BP) -- The Baller posted one of the most dominating performances in Canadian AAA history today, posting their 2nd straight shutout this time against the Abbotsford Miners. Holding the Miners to -6 rushing yards and a lowly 101.5 passing yards, this could easily be one of the best defenses in Canada's football history.
"It was just absolutely superb," DE Speed McLovin said who wrecked absolute havok on the Miners with 12 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, and 3 hurries. "We just went out there and played our game. Obviously we exceeded in our expectations and performance."
The Ballers certainly did exceed, with 357.5 yards on offense. Including an excellent game by QB Khari Jones with 269 yards and a TD. In addition WR Sterling Driver added 11 catches for 98 yards. Driver said he was stunned by how well the team played.
"There are not words to describe how happy I am right now. We just absolutely dominated and I can not wait for our next game."
Troy Westwood also kicked a career high 6 field goals, Westwood eventually got so tired of kicking field goals that the punter had to come in!
This victory improves the Ballers record to 3-1 and marks the 3rd straight victory for the Ballers season.
Next week the Ballers will play the North American NDL'ers who will also come in at 3-1.
*Speed McLovin that was the most dominant performance I have ever witnessed by a football player. You my friend deserve the game ball hands down after those 5 sacks, 12 tackles, 3 hurries, and 3 tackles for loss. For everyone else great game as well!*
