Ballers Win Decisively 30-16

FORUMOPLIS (BP) -- The Ballers took the field today with a chip on their shoulder after last weeks opening season loss to Thunder Bay. Following 60 minutes of all out effort, the Ballers emerged from the rubble victorious 30-16 against the Forumopolis Fighting Llamas.

"We just played great and made the most of our chances," CB Beast Baily said who had an INT return for a TD. "I just jumped on the ball and made a play. Nothing to it really, just reading the QB and making the play after the INT."

Baily finished with 6 tackles, 3 passes defended, and an 83 yard INT return for a TD. The offense sputtered a bit, but still had a solid effort from QB Khari Jones.

"Sometimes it's not all about making that 90 TD bomb," Jones said. "Some games you'll have big plays, but today I needed to play a different role as a game manager."

Jones had a mistake free day, throwing for 170 yds 1 TD and not INT's. Another interesting aspect of the game was the fact that there were no substitutions for the Blacksburg offensive line.

"When you're hungry you don't want to leave the game," C Bricky Bonebreaker told the BP. "You feel like you want to knock the [expletive] out of somebody."

The Ballers next opponent will be the Moose Knuckle Island Sofa Kings who will come in undefeated at 2-0.

*Game ball goes to Beast Baily. Fabulous INT return for a TD and great job to everyone else!*
