Ballers Acquire Karl Ayotte from Defunct Towers

BLACKSBURG, VA - The Ballers have moved back to a 3-back system of many years ago. It goes back to season 1 and 2 when Alex Casino, Dan Etheridge and Pinchthat Nuggetout used to rule the streets around here. Now, its the newest addition, Karl Ayotte, Jesse Lumsden and Pinchthat Nuggetout ruling the ground around here.

"It's certainly exciting to be able to pick up a free agent like Ayotte with the disbanding of the Towers. He has done fantastic things in Toronto and we look forward to having him here in Blacksburg and seeing what he can," Offensive Co-Ordinator Ryan Betesta commented.

This marks Ayotte's 5th stop of his career after playing for the Montreal Ice, the Pasadena Fighting Hellfish, the Phnom Penh Warriors, the Silverymoon Elves and most recently, the Toronto Towers. Through it all, Ayotte has racked up 3,875 yards and 56 touchdowns as well as two receiving touchdowns.

Ballers rushing records holder Jesse Lumsden welcomes the newcomer with open arms and fears that his records may be on the line.

"Karl is a talented guy and he has what it takes to break my records. His numbers last season slightly beat out mine so we'll see what the two of us can do together on the ground," HB Jesse Lumsden.

The Ballers are more traditionally known for their passing game as Khari Jones has taken league awards in back to back seasons. Could this be a changing of the guard in Blacksburg?
